Kaga-Shinmeigu Cherry Tree Festival

Schedule: Held on the second Saturday and Sunday of April every year
Venue: Kaga-Shinmeigu Shrine, 15 Shinmei-cho, Daisho-ji, Kaga City
Overview: Annual celebration of Kaga-Shinmeigu (Yamashita Shrine) to pray for the development of local businesses and a good harvest. Floats, groups of dancers and shishimai (lion dance) parade down the street. Along the bank of the nearby Kumasaka River, you can enjoy strolling while seeing gorgeous cherry trees that line the river for 1 km.
